Woman stabbed in the head in Underdale fork attack

A woman has been arrested and another taken to hospital after a fork attack in the western suburbs.

A woman has been taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital after being stabbed with a fork in the head.

About 5.15am on Tuesday, emergency services were called to Henley Beach Road in Underdale after reports a woman had been stabbed by another woman.

Police say when they arrived, they found a 32-year-old woman who was injured.

The injury was not life-threatening, but she was taken to hospital for treatment.

Following investigations police attended at Brooklyn Park address where they arrested a 27-year-old woman.

She was taken to the Port Adelaide Police Station charged with assault causing harm.

She has since been bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court in February.

It has been revealed the duo are known to each other, with police assuring the matter is not random and there is no threat to the community.
