A popular southern suburbs desert bar has closed the doors of its beachside cafe, citing costs were greater than profits.
Urban Desserts placed a sign in their Glenelg establishment thanking locals for their support as they announce they have ceased trading.
“We gave it our best shot,” the post read.
“Unfortunately due to lack of support – Urbans in Glenelg will no longer open.
“We want to thank the lovely people who came in when we were open, we know you tried to spread the word but it simply costs us more to be here then we could make.
“You can find our products at Colonnades Shopping Centre.”
The store opened back in September of 2021, after cementing its place in Morphett Vale and the Colonnades thanks to co-owner Jeremy Allan putting a twist on fan favourites.
