North Haven man Sean Bradlee Guthrie charged with serious criminal and theft

A North Haven man accused of serious criminal trespass and stealing copper from a service station has faced court, after police helicopters and dogs were used to arrest him.

A North Haven man has faced court after a police helicopter and dog was used to track him down for allegedly trespassing and stealing copper from a service station at Fulham Gardens yesterday afternoon.

Police received a report of a man jumping a fence into a home on Grange Road after arriving on a bicycle about 3.10pm on Monday October 19.

The police helicopter was already airborne and was quickly overhead, while patrols and dog operations officers with police dog Zac made their way to the area.

A man was spotted exiting a window of a disused service station on the corner of Tapleys Hill Road before jumping a nearby fence.

Police dog Zac and his handler then detained the man as he attempted to escape via the house next door.

The man had allegedly entered the service station and stolen copper.

Sean Bradlee Guthrie, 37, of North Haven, was charged with serious criminal trespass, going equipped to commit an offence and theft.

Guthrie appeared via video link on Tuesday in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court.

The matter was adjourned to November 30.
