An Angle Park man has faced court for allegedly assaulting a taxi driver in the western suburbs.
Caleb Lawrence Thomas Webster fronted the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court last week in relation to a February 16 incident.
Mr Webster, 23, allegedly assaulted an Adelaide Independent Taxi driver in Angle Park at the time.
It is alleged he also caused $2500 in damage to the taxi and was in possession of a knife at the time of his arrest.
Mr Webster was released on a $500 bail in February.
He is charged with assault, damaging a motor vehicle, having possession of a knife in a public place and fairly to pay legal fare for hiring a taxi.
Earlier this year, following an assault on a taxi driver in the northern suburbs the Taxi Council SA said there had been two other assaults on taxi drivers in May and four in April.
Mr Webster will face court again next month.
