Baa Moo Oink wins poll for best butcher in Adelaide’s western suburbs

The winner of the western suburbs ‘best of’ vote is so good, it attracts customers from as far as Noarlunga and Elizabeth.

A western suburbs butcher which attracts customers from all corners of Adelaide has taken the title of the region’s best butcher.

Kidman Park butcher Baa Moo Oink was named number one from a field of 13 meat experts, pulling in almost 20 per cent of the total vote in our Delicious Local poll with Matt Preston.

Assistant manager Mick Seaford said taking out the win was a great way to end 2020.

Mr Seaford put the victory down to Baa Moo Oink’s loyal customer base and ‘awesome’ staff.

“We have customers come from far and wide – from Elizabeth to Noarlunga,” he said.

Mr Seaford said the business made some significant changes this year, remodelling the store to meet COVID regulations and introducing a click and collect service for the first time.

“It’s been a really testing year for everyone, due to COVID, so we’re really thankful to our loyal customers, who keep coming back,” he said.

One of the reasons customers keep returning is Baa Moo Oink’s award-winning sausages. Their gourmet chicken and continental sausages have won awards in the Australian Meat Industry Council’s national ‘Sausage King’ competition.

“Everything is made fresh, by us, using our own recipes,” Mr Seaford said.

The store is also known for doing a lot of specialty cuts, tailored to their customers’ requirements.

Taste Quality Meats at Findon came second in the voting for SA’s best with Saint Meat at Semaphore rounding out the top three.
