Violent school brawls caught on camera

A violent string of fights between school children from the notorious Whyalla Secondary College have surfaced online on popular smartphone app Snapchat.

Three separate videos filmed on mobile phones emerged featuring school children in Whyalla Secondary College uniforms being viciously assaulted.

One video shows two male school children in a lengthy brawl with one student punched and kicked multiple times in the head.

At one stage a student tries to walk away after being king hit and is subsequently pushed to the ground where he is punched and kicked multiple times.

While on the ground the other student at one moment steps back to gather full momentum for another sickening kick that connects with the other student’s head.

A student in the background can be heard saying “stomp on his head bro.”

Another student is heard calling one of the students a “racist c***.”

The second video shows another student being kicked while cowering on the ground near the entrance of a building.

The blows appear to also land within proximity of the other student’s face.

The student on the ground eventually gets up before being followed by the other student who throws another punch.

The recipient of the punch then walks through the building door.

A third piece of footage appears to show a fight being broken up inside of a building.

Someone with a hi-vis vest is seen at the scene and a student can be heard yelling “you wanna talk s***.”

Education Minister Blair Boyer told 7NEWS that Whyalla Secondary College had acted promptly following the incident.

“The perpetrator has been suspended already, the school is following up with any bystanders and police have been informed,” Minister Boyer said.

The videos appear to be filmed by students on mobiles.

The fights come as the college appeared to be bouncing back from the backlash of shocking schoolyard violence earlier in 2022, with students receiving “some of the highest” grades the area has seen in years.

Whyalla Secondary College was contacted for comment.
