Police are searching for three people after two women were punched and robbed in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Police are hunting three people who allegedly assaulted and robbed two women in Plympton Park early on Sunday morning.

Police were called to Hawker Ave just after 2am following reports of a robbery.

Two women were on Hawker Ave when they were approached by the group of three people with a woman grabbing one of the victim’s phones and pushing her to the ground.

The second victim was pushed to the ground by a man and punched to the mouth after he grabbed her purse from her shoulder.

The suspects were spotted running east towards Marion Rd.

Police say they set up cordons and called in Police Dog Chaos to assist searching for the suspects who were not found.
