A well-known pub in Adelaide’s north west has reopened following extensive $2 million renovations.
The Grand Junction Tavern reopened on August 7 and is sporting a new look following the upgrades.
The pub is set to be Pennington’s new hub of live sports and racing with the renovations including an open-plan bistro and sports bar.
Patrons will be able to enjoy an open plan drinking and dining space, including a new television feature wall.
Thi Tran, the hotel’s venue manager, said he was thrilled that the doors are reopening to the public.
“The Grand Junction Tavern has always been a favourite among the local community and the new look has created a modern dining and drinking destination for our neighbours and visitors to the area,” he said.
The tavern has also adopted a new menu including South-East Asian feature dishes as well as pub classics.
“Locals will love our delicious Aussie and South-East Asian dining offering,” Mr Tran said.
The pub will have a variety of specials on offer including happy hour which will be hosted every day between 4pm and 6pm.
“Whether a work lunch, friendly get-together, knock-off drink or trivia night, there’s something for everyone,” Mr Tran said.
“We can’t wait for our locals to come back through the doors.”
The Gaming Room will close on August 14 for renovations before reopening on August 21.
Locals will be able to celebrate the reopening weekend from August 25 to 27 with the pub offering a range of specials including free food, for the first 50 people to enter, and sports competitions.
