With your help we’ve narrowed it down to a list of finalists and now it’s your chance to vote. Let us know who helped shape your moves – or your tiny dancer’s.

The most influential young people in Australia

From creating ballerinas to hip-hoppers, dance studios are the place to get your groove on.

So we’re looking for SA’s best dance studios who go above and beyond in their passion for the art.

With your help we’ve narrowed it down to a list of finalists and now it’s your chance to vote.

All of these dance studios received multiple nominations and we’ve included some customer comments about why they’re the best.

Read through the comments on why they were nominated and cast your vote for your favourite – note that only one vote per subscriber will be recorded – so choose wisely!

Empire Dance Studio, Broadview

I drive a five hour round trip three times a week to attend from regional SA to get my daughter to her classes. I wouldn’t do that for just an ‘average’ dance school. Empire are an extraordinary school and management and teachers have the same passion that the students do, to help them follow their dreams and teach them that hard work pays off.

Cheryl Bradley Dance Studios, Clearview

This place is like a second home to my daughter and my whole family. The teachers are inclusive, supportive, nurturing, creative, fun and just the most wonderful group of people. Cheryl Bradley and her family are etched in Adelaide’s dance history, and you will not find a more dedicated, selfless, caring teacher and mentor to her students.

Clare Valley School of Dance, Clare

Kate Mensforth has created an amazing dance school from ground up over the last few years. She has had a few health spanners thrown her way but making the kids smile and have fun has always been her priority. Her end of year concert won event of the year in our community. She is so passionate about creating little ballerinas and deserves this so much.

This studio caters for those who have a disability and is for all ages. You can just see how much these children and adults love to be there. They even get the opportunity to perform multiple times a year and show everyone what they can do

Caitlin Jones is based 300 kilometres from Adelaide and with limited resources, lots of compromises, and an enormous amount of hard work, Caitlin runs a high quality and highly competitive dance school with students successfully competing across SA and at national competitions, Caitlin could take her talent to Adelaide but has instead shared her amazing skills locally, creating a huge asset for our community, and many amazing young dancers in the process.

Miss Leonie! The most hard working and caring teacher you could ask for in her field. She lives and breathes her studio and loves each and every one of her dancers. She nurtures and builds and takes the time to be there for everyone.

Krank It Dance, Kadina

Kayla established krank it dance from being a hip hop dancer herself in Adelaide. Moving back to the country, marrying and beginning her own family Krank It is thriving offering kids to adults hip hop and contemporary dance. This year a competition dance crew began with dancers from her hip hop class, they completed in their very first competition last week in Adelaide, placing third. Kayla is passionate about passing on her love for dance. Krank It brings friendships, connections, confidence and fitness and opportunity to our country town on the YP.

TIDC isn’t just a dance studio but a second home for so many. Kerreane cares for each and everyone of her students and supports them to reach their goals beyond measure. The amount of opportunities offered for students at TIDC is incredible and the community through TIDC feels like a second family. This studio has been standing for 40+ years so they must be doing something right.

Luminous Dance Studio, Seaford

I’ve never known a more passionate, talented, and dedicated teacher than Kirra. She cares so much for every single one of her students, and works so hard to provide a safe and enjoyable learning environment for everyone. Kirra is working on expanding her teaching to include therapeutic dance for children with disabilities, and it is so exciting to watch her grow as a teacher. Without a doubt, she is the best dance teacher in SA!

I danced at Avant for 13 years and was with Sian Gavros for at least seven of them, incredible teacher and friend to all her students at a great studio, super friendly and opening to students of all levels.

Madeleine Zoanetti Dedicated to Dance, Kingswood

Madeleine Zoanetti has taught me since I was five years of age and her own daughter Annalisa Zoanetti, who is in the top 12 in the world, also trains and teaches there. You don’t need any dance experience, the studio welcomes absolutely everyone and all ages, from those who are looking to dance socially to those wanting to compete in ballroom, New Vogue or Latin American styles.

One50 Dance an incredible hip hop studio where you are welcomed with open arms, valued as an individual, celebrated for being you and always treated like family through the shared love and passion for community and dance. I wish I joined years and years ago. A life changing place to be with the most beautiful people. I have been to a few studios in my time and by far this is my most favourite place to do what I love.

Stepz Dance Academy is a place where everyone is smiling. Mardi has founded such a happy and welcoming place to be, where everyone feels at home. She knows each person at the school by their name, not just a number. you will make the best life long friends here and have so much fun seeing them every week. I have been dancing there for just over a year now and was welcomed with open arms and always feel like I’m at home when I’m at the studio. MCDA is a family that is so loving and supportive of each other. Matthew Cram is an amazing dance teacher that I have learnt so much from as well as all the other amazing teachers at MCDA. I have been there for 29 years now and can’t imagine going anywhere else! Gaynor Palmer is like a mother to me and has supported me and my family through thick and thin. Emma Palmer is one of my closest mates and a huge role model to the young kids at the school and Lana Chamberlain I have always idolised and looked up to and happy to finally have her as my own teacher! Wouldn’t be the person I am today without them all.

Barossa Dance Company is the most amazing dance school. I have been dancing with Barossa Dance from the age of 3, and am now 17 and am a student teacher as well as a student. Miss Sarah, Miss Katelyn, Miss Kim, and Miss Amy are all such amazing teachers who just want to see their students succeed. They have all put in so much work into creating a new dance home for us in Nuriootpa. I have met many of my friends I have grown up with through Barossa Dance, and it is so amazing to now see the younger students having the same experience. Barossa Dance is my second home and I couldn’t be more grateful to be a dancer there.
