More than 1000 netballers from 26 associations across the state descended on Adelaide for the SA Country Championships over the June long weekend.

Western Border dominated proceedings by claiming three titles, including the coveted A grade honours.

Now, we’ve hand-picked the top 10 moments from across the five grand finals – the top flight A grade, as well as B grade and the under-17, under-15 and under-13 division one deciders at Netball SA Stadium.

So which plays make it to the best of the best across the grand finals?

Kowree, Naracoorte, Tatiara appeared to use just about every inch of its forward half to conjure an important goal and stay in touch against eventual A grade champion Western Border.

Down by five goals in the under-17 grand final, a sharp, one-handed defensive block from Western Border created a KNT cough-up, which resulted in a momentum-shifting goal.

Port Lincoln’s goal attack Ella Wedd pulled down a towering grab and found the net in its B grade win over Barossa, Light and Gawler.

The sharpest of passes from KNT goal shooter Danielle Vankalken created an important goal early in the A grade grand final.

Western Border went coast-to-coast with ease to score in its under-17 decider success over KNT.

The A grade Western Border side also went from one end of the court to the other in its victory against KNT, with a delicate final touch from its goal attack the icing on the cake.

The outstretched hand of Port Lincoln goal shooter Keeley Mason managed to pull the ball back into play, to set up a big goal against Barossa, Light and Gawler in the B grade grand final.

While it was unable to sustain it for two halves, KNT started strongly in its under-13 grand final against Hills 1, as this stunning transition from defence to attack demonstrates.

The sharp shooters might grab all the headlines, but Port Lincoln’s defender Airlie Grant proved the back end is just as important as the forward half when it comes to winning premierships with this great defensive double-effort in the B grade grand final.
