A number of star local cricketers dominated as the 2024/2025 SACA Premier Cricket season got underway over the weekend. See our top performers of the week.

SACA Premier Cricket season is underway and a number of stars stood out over the weekend.

Here are our top 10 players of the week in alphabetical order.

ROSS ADAIR

(Adelaide Uni)

Adair was huge for the Blacks as they defeated Woodville by eight wickets on Saturday.

Coming in at number three in the order, Adair scored a quick 102 runs off of just 60 deliveries to help his team to a strong start to the season.

JAKE CARDER

(Port Adelaide)

Carder opened the batting for Port Adelaide against Prospect on Sunday and was at the top of his game.

He put on a show to hit 15 fours on his way to 113 runs in 93 balls as his side grabbed an important win after a loss to Tea Tree Gully.

SHAE DALY

(Kensington)

Kensington topped West Torrens in the women’s 1st Grade and Daly’s efforts with the ball were integral.

After surviving 25 deliveries at the bottom of the batting order, Daly took four wickets for a return of just 20 runs, which included four of the Eagles’ top five batters.

The star Eagles captain has been tipped to have a big season and started his 2024/2025 campaign in the perfect way.

A dominant player with the bat at his best, Drew made 143 not out against Sturt and led West Torrens to an impressive win.

MACKENZIE HARVEY

Sturt’s star recruit hit the ground running for the Blues over the weekend.

An exciting left-handed batter, Harvey put on a show to make 156 runs as an opener against West Torrens.

ISAAC HIGGINS

(Glenelg)

Rising Glenelg star Higgins was dominant for the Seahorses during their clash with Southern District on Sunday.

A skilled all-rounder, Higgins can produce with the bat but was a standout with the ball, taking 6/13 through a seven-over bowling spell to hold the Stingrays to a total of 139.

THOMAS JACKSON

(Tea Tree Gully)

Barrett was at his best with the bat against Port Adelaide on Saturday as the Bulls raced to a strong win.

A skilled shot-maker who can score at a fast pace, Jackson produced a 102 total off of 79 deliveries to help his side to a big one-day victory.

RYAN KING

(East Torrens)

King was expected to have a big 2024/2025 as a promising batter and did not disappoint to open up his season.

He was at his best against Adelaide in East Torrens’ one-day opener, putting on an exhibition to make 181 runs and help his side to the win.

CATE PEDERSEN

(Adelaide Uni)

Adelaide Uni star Cate Pedersen continued her strong start to the season with a big batting display in a one-run win over West Torrens.

The dominant opener scored 119 not out off of 89 deliveries in one of the top women’s displays so far this season.

ELLA WILSON

(Glenelg)

Wilson was a standout with the bat as Glenelg stormed past Sturt with a 238-run win.

Batting at fifth in the order, Wilson put together a strong 60-run innings to lead her side.
