Barossa survived a fightback from Eastern Hills in the boys under-16 division one grand final at the SA Junior Country Championships, prevailing by one point at St Clair on Sunday.
The Settlers led by 16 points at three-quarter time and had all the momentum.
But the Hornets refused to give up and a big bucket from Jacob Matthews levelled the scores at 63 apiece with three seconds of regular time remaining in the fourth period.
That forced the game into extra time and Barossa remained cool under pressure while forcing Eastern Hills into ball handling mistakes to take the victory 72-71.
The Advertiser and Messenger live streamed 25 matches from the under-16 and under-12 age groups of the tournament.
Our coverage, which included seven grand finals, was be broadcast across three simultaneous live streams.

The Hornets did well to ensure the 20-point turn around from three-quarter time but lacked the polish during crucial moments in the final stanza.
Ryan topscored for the title winners with 27 points, while Kurt Bustamante (21 points) was strong for Eastern Hills.
Barossa coach Ben MacCulloch said it was a tough match in the end but his players deserved the victory.
“Credit to Eastern Hills, they made some changes and our guys probably didn’t adapt as well,” MacCulloch said.
“They had momentum and we forgot how to score for a bit.
“With a couple of quick steals, suddenly we got the momentum back and we kept that.
“Credit to the boys’ heart and withstanding adversity that we were staring at.
“It was good.”
Meanwhile, in the girls under-16 division one grand final, Yorke Valley proved too strong for Port Augusta, winning 68-36.
Ella Humphrys (eight points) topscored for Port Augusta, while Ella Aldridge (25 points) claimed most of the buckets for Yorke Valley.
Yorkers coach Nathan Humphries was proud of his side.
“We’ve been training once a week together for the past six months so the last game was just a reward for their hard work,” Humphries said.
“They deserved the win.
“I’m still trying to process it all as it’s just amazing.
“I think it’s been about nine-10 years since Yorkers won, so this really helps put us back out there and shows we are successful again.”
The live streaming of Sunday’s matches followed our broadcast of the under-14 and under-18 boys and girls SA Junior Country Championships earlier this month.
