Players to watch during the exclusive broadcast of SA Junior Country Basketball Championship finals

We’ve put together a list of players to watch during Monday’s exclusive live stream of the SA Junior Country Basketball Championships. See the list and how to watch here.

For the first time, The Advertiser will exclusively broadcast all top tier grand finals and other selected matches during the 2021 SA Junior Country Basketball Championships.

The three-day event tipped off on Saturday, featuring under-14 and under-18 boys and girls teams facing off in a round-robin clashes.

Advertiser subscribers will have access to 25 matches (see schedule below), including boys and girls games from both age groups, across four simultaneous live streams on Monday.

It follows our exclusive broadcast of the 2020 SA Junior Basketball Championships in October.

Ahead of the live stream, we have put together a list of 10 players to watch.

MADDISON DINH

Association: Great Southern (under-14 girls)

Maddison will add plenty to the Great Southern under-14 girls side.

She’s a dynamic point guard, unselfish and has great ball handling skills.

GEMMA COCKS

Association: Eastern Hills (under-14 girls)

Gemma is a strong athlete with great height.

Her strengths also include being an interior scoring threat.

BAILEY HAHN

Association: Riverland (under-14 girls)

Bailey is a super playmaker who can score inside and out.

She’s also a fierce competitor.

CHARLIE WYATT

Association: Eastern Hills (under-18 boys)

This youngster has elite ball handling and passing ability.

Charlie was second in Australia for points scored per game at 2019 under-16 National Championships.

LOUIS SCHELL

Association: Barossa Valley (under-18 boys)

Louis is a tough defender.

He’s an elite competitor and a crafty ball handler.

TARA BRYANT

Association: Mt Gambier (under-18 girls)

Tara is a hard-nosed defender.

She’s speedy with her feet and hands and she is handy at the three-point line.

ZACHARIA YOUNG

Association: Port Lincoln (under-14 boys)

The Port Lincoln rising star is a creative shooter.

Zacharia has incredible passing skills and court awareness.

MITCHELL HARRIS

Association: Yorke Valley (under-14 boys)

Mitchell is skilful when he’s got the ball in his hands and can create different scoring shots from inside the paint.

STELLA MOBBS

Association: Mount Gambier (under-18 girls)

Stella is a star and is playing two age groups above what she should.

She has a super high basketball IQ and is a great interior defender.

TIA DAHLITZ

Association: Riverland (under-18 girls)

Tia is an elite leader with great ball skills.

She is well known for being a tough defender.
