Full NBL1 Central team lists featuring Erin Phillips, Anne Hatchard, Jack Purchase

NBL1 Central season tips off soon and each club’s team lists have been finalised. With some big surprise names set to hit the court, see every team here.

South Australia’s NBL1 basketball season is finally here, with round one games set to tip-off on Saturday night.

While some star players have decided to pack their bags, the league has seen an influx of new talent throughout the offseason.

Among the latest big names set to join the league are Adelaide Crows AFLW stars Erin Phillips, Anne Hatchard and Jasmine Simmons.

All three are poised to suit up for the West Adelaide Bearcats.

The star footballers will take the field for the Crows at the Adelaide Oval this weekend in their grand final against Melbourne, but should be available for the Bearcats in the AFLW offseason, depending on when the AFLW preseason starts up again.

Two-time Olympic player Phillips – who also spent nine seasons in the WNBA – played for the Bearcats as a junior, while Hatchard and Simmons also have a basketball background – Hatchard playing for both Sturt and South Adelaide before starting in footy and Simmons representing Australia at junior level.

The big footy names join other stars in NBL1 Central, such as new Forestville recruit Jack Purchase – who arrives from the Perth Wildcats – and Sturt import David Haygood arriving from North Carolina.

Star coaches Tracy York and Scott Ninnis have also joined Central District and South Adelaide respectively as men’s coaches.
