DELISTED West Coast midfielder Luke Partington is attracting interest from several SANFL clubs and is no certainty to return to his former team, Norwood.

Partington, who played six AFL games from 2015-18 before being cut by the Eagles last month, was expected to make a decision on his future by Friday.

The 21 year old has met with Norwood officials and senior players but has also received offers from rival teams.

His signature is dependent on whether he is given an lifeline by a second AFL club.

Redlegs football manager Mark Ross was hopeful Partington would return to The Parade.

“We’ve put an offer to him and his management group,” Ross said.

“It’s no secret he is attracting interest, as all players do coming back off AFL lists.

“We understand he’s got to weigh up the offers in front of him.”

Originally from Tumby Bay on the Eyre Peninsula, Partington played six league games for Norwood in 2015 before the Eagles took him with pick 28 at that year’s national draft.

All six of his AFL matches came last year and he could not break into West Coast’s premiership side this past season despite a strong WAFL campaign.

Partington finished equal first in the best and fairest of Eagles state league affiliate East Perth, along with Matthew Allan and Patrick McGinnity.

In 17 matches for the Royals this year, Partington averaged 25.2 disposals and a goal.

Meanwhile, Redlegs defender Patrick Levicki has left The Parade in search of more opportunities at another SANFL club.

Norwood was negotiating with the club for Levicki’s release.

He played 51 games for the Redlegs, including a breakout campaign in 2015, but could only manage three appearances this season following the arrival of defenders Michael Talia and Mitch Wilkins in the off-season.

Norwood’s other departures include former Central District forward Caleb Edmead (retired), while reserves best and fairest Darcy Pisani has gone the other way for more league time at the Dogs.

Premiership trio Matt Fuller, Ben Jefferies and Callum Bartlett called time on their SANFL careers last month.
