Noarlunga coach Josh Thewlis said his side was getting more of a reward for its good work.

“I thought in the first two rounds we played really well but didn’t get over the line,” Thewlis said.

“But (on Saturday) we had a good start and then stayed in control from there.

“We are playing much more consistently.

“It’s been challenging and a bit of a rollercoaster season but we are enjoying it.

“Early wins are important but if we can make the four anything can happen from there.’’

Dwayne Ruddock, Matthew Lillis and Scott Rademacher battled hard for the Vikings.

FLAGSTAFF HILL 23.16 (174) PORT NOARLUNGA 9.6 (60)

Flagstaff Hill is well on its way to defending its four flags in a row after proving too strong for Port Noarlunga on Saturday.

The final term was stopped for five minutes after a group of Falcons spectators racially abused Port Noarlunga’s Ian Milera and Elijah Satala.

But the game was already in the bag for the Falcons and they went on to claim a 114-point victory at home.

Zak Cavouras, Brayden Heyward-Ferors and Daniel Butcher (six goals) played well for the Falcons.
