St Peter’s OC has drawn level on points with top side Port District after defeating Glenunga 15.12 (102) to 12.12 (84) at Webb Oval.

Trailing early, SPOC gradually claimed the upper hand in the contest through tough work in the contest and precision up front.

Captain Ed Allan was at his beat around the ground, contributing in a number of ways as his side eventually turned a two-point half time lead into a three-goal gap at the final break.

Tye Bedford and Henry Nelligan were also dangerous on the ball and up front, with Bedford booting four important goals.

The win adds to a remarkable turnaround for the club, which finished just outside the relegation zone last year.

GROVE GROWING AS FINALS APPROACH

Golden Grove has recorded its most impressive win of the season in division one, defeating reigning premier and top side Port District 15.12 (102) to 9.10 (64) at home.

The Kookaburras were completely dominant around the ground from start to finish as they built a 71-23 lead at the main break and never looked back, comfortably winning their sixth straight game to move to a 9-4 record.

Josh Glenn was unstoppable for the hosts, winning plenty of contested possessions and taking a number of big marks around the ground, while Lachlan Pascoe continued his stunning form with five goals.

The visitors saw positive performances from Scott Lycett and Matt Rose but could not overcome the relentless pressure and high pace of the hosts.

HAWKS STILL IN TOUCH

Salisbury North has remained in touch with the top five after topping Prince Alfred OC 10.15 (75) to 4.8 (32) away from home.

Leading by just three points at quarter-time, the Hawks produced a stunning second term, booting 4.5 to just one behind to lead by 31 points at the half and set themselves up for the big win.

The visitors were relentless in the contest, applying a number of big tackles and locking PAOC in their back half for the majority of the game, allowing for a number of chances for nine separate goalkickers.

Luke Habel was strong around the ground, while Tyrrell Hocking was also dangerous with creative disposal.

DRAGONS FLYING IN D3

Westminster OS has now won 11 consecutive games in division three of the Adelaide Footy League, defeating Kilburn 13.10 (88) to 8.12 (60) at Glandore Oval Reserve.

Star ruck Kurtis Phillips was highly influential with his tap work and marking ability as the Dragons overturned a two-goal quarter-time deficit to eventually lead by five kicks at the final change.

Key recruit Andrew Bradley was also impressive around the ground, while Connor Drum excelled in the contest and Nick Leck added four majors.

A well-rounded side with a number of weapons, WOS looks set for another promotion run this year.

UNDEFEATED EAGLES UNSTOPPABLE

Elizabeth has dominated fourth spot Hackham to remain undefeated and heavy favourite in division seven, topping the Hawks 21.16 (142) to 1.7 (13) at home in a major statement.

Captain Stephen James produced another terrific performance to add to his 2025 campaign, booting a huge 10 goals and creating a number of others as his Eagles side flew past the helpless visitors.

The hosts were too strong and clean in the middle and constantly flooded forward in numbers to overwhelm the Hawks defence and take a quick stranglehold on the game.

CATS, BLUDS MAKE STATEMENT IN RMFL

Coorong Cats and Jervois played out an instant classic in the River Murray Football League on Saturday, firmly announcing themselves as the top two sided in the competition ahead of finals.

A neck-and-neck battle the entire way through, the host Bluds booted four goals in the final term but could not overcome the visitors who booted three to just claim the chocolates in dramatic fashion.

Stars stood up around the ground including Jervois guns Ben Hansen (five goals), Lachlan Thomas and Josh Scott as well as Coorong recruits Seb Kerrish and Keenan Jacobs and playing-coach Daniel Menzel.

Each side produced a tough brand of footy, crashing packs, courageously attacking the contested ball and laying a number of big tackles.

VIKINGS A FORCE

Happy Valley has made a huge statement in the Southern Football League, thrashing flag contender Flagstaff Hill 16.7 (103) to 3.3 (21) at home.

The now 12-1 Vikings had been one of the biggest stories in the competition so far this year and added another impressive chapter with a dominant display in the contest and an even better showing up front.

Star recruit Nick Kraemer was a standout again around the ground and up front, setting up teammates with a number of chances, while Dylan Brown led all comers with four goals.

The hosts also applied relentless tackle pressure through the middle and were too strong in the air behind the ball, with Seb Oliver often setting the tone.

MAGPIES FLY TO UPSET

Cummins Rambler has handed United Yeelanna its first loss of the season in the Great Flinders Football League, beating the Eagles 13.12 (90) to 6.3 (39) at Cummins Oval.

Now sitting just outside of the finals spots with four games remaining, the Magpies held their visitors scoreless in the first term and to just one goal in the final term as the won plenty of the contested footy and spread quickly to create a number of goalkicking opportunities.

Former Norwood and Rostrevor OC player Harvey Pedler was a standout around the ground for the hosts, while Ethan Langley was potent in the air and in front of goal with four majors.

PANTHERS PROWLING IN RIVERLAND

Loxton North entered the top four in the Riverland FL with a strong upset win over top spot Renmark on Saturday, defeating the Rovers 10.8 (68) to 6.9 (45) at home.

The Panthers, led by dominant on-ballers Joel Worsfold and Codi Voumard, could not be stopped after quarter-time, racking up clearances and booting 10 goals to five through the final three terms to claim the win.

While the visitors still had a number of strong performances from key players such as Lachy Lellman and Dan Woolford, the hosts were able to nullify most of their threats with strong tackling and smart intercept work.

MUNDULLA STILL A THREAT

While it may be set to lose star recruit Chris Curran as he gets ready for a return to Glenelg for the remainder of the SANFL season, Mundulla should be right in the thick of finals action again this KNTFL season after a convincing 15.19 (109) to 6.5 (41) win over Border Districts away from home.

Led by recruit Nathan Studham and champion captain Nick Mosey, the Tigers booted four goals to just one in the second term to open up a 59-27 lead and never look back.

Tough in the contest and quick and efficient around the ground, the fourth spot visitors could not be stopped and will remain just one game behind third place Keith on the ladder.
