Submitted by Flagstaff Hill Land Pty Ltd, the mammoth project located on Memford Way, Flagstaff Hill, will look to subdivide the existing golf club and club house for the construction of three, five-storey and one, six-storey residential flat buildings.
One of the buildings will host a number of leisure activities for residents such as a cinema, meeting room, craft studio and a private function room, while the golf club will still remain open to members of the public.
According to reports supplied by the City of Onkaparinga council, a previous adaptation of the plans were approved that included a “extensive” golf club facilities.
“A proposal to redevelop the northeastern corner of the golf course, was granted in December in 2018,” the report outlined.
“The site was the subject of a previously approved development application which included more extensive golf club facilities and 123 independent living units in five multistorey buildings.”
However there was not enough space for residents and general golfers through peak hours in the original plan.
In the updated plan, 145 spaces will be designated for the golf club with 13 spaces available for retirement village visitor parking and nearly 140 spaces designated for residents.
The application for the proposal is currently in category three of development with status open to public to review.
