An unlicensed driver has been clocked at almost twice the speed limit in Cherry Gardens.
Police caught the 46-year-old Aberfoyle Park man driving 134km/h on Cherry Gardens Rd on Wednesday morning.
The road has a speed limit of 70 km/h.
Police were conducting speed patrols in the area when they spotted the man’s Holden sedan.
After pulling him over, police discovered the man’s license was expired.
The man was fined $2317 and issued nine demerit points for excessive speeding and driving unlicensed.
He was also issued with an additional loss of licence for six months.
