A southern suburbs man who was accused of locking a woman in his car before forcing her to perform sexual acts upon him in a public toilet block, has had his charges dropped.
Joshua Moubarak, 26, appeared in the Magistrate Court on Tuesday, with police prosecution confirming they would be withdrawing the two counts of engaging in sexual intercourse without consent.
Mr Moubarak first appeared before the court back in April, where it was alleged he locked a woman in a car after buying dinner in Adelaide’s south.
Police alleged the two became in a verbal altercation, before Mr Moubarak allegedly grabbed the woman’s head saying he wanted to film the two together and suggested they move to a toilet block where there would be “better lighting”.
At the time of his bail application, Mr Moubarak’s defence counsel told the court he would be contesting the charges before him and had strongly denied the allegations.
Mr Moubarak will face court on other matters later this year.
