Morphett Vale bub Callie Butte named SA’s cutest autumn baby by you

Look at the glisten in her eyes! Read how this adorable little bub got her nickname and how she was named the cutest autumn baby in SA.

A nickname like “bubbles” is sure to only be short-lived such is her baby’s cuteness, says the mum of SA’s cutest autumn baby.

Callie Butte, who is 10 weeks old, quickly endeared herself to her parents and family with a funny habit of “constantly blowing bubbles”.

But mum Brittany Robb said her daughter’s gorgeous eyes and fuzzy hair will stick around longer than her bubble habit.

“With a baby as cute as her I’m sure we’ll find another nickname for her soon enough,” she said.

Ms Robb described how Callie was born with a full head of hair that constantly stands on end.

“She was born with a lot of hair but no matter how much we try and brush it down it just sticks back up,” she said.

The Morphett Vale family, including Dad Scott Butte and brother Koby, 3, were all enamoured with their new bub, said Ms Robb.

But perhaps not as much so as Callie’s nanny who, after the family initially were certain Callie was going to be a boy, was pleasantly surprised to learn she had her first granddaughter.

“We were sure we were having another boy,” Ms Robb said.

“My mum has three grandsons and had no granddaughters, but she was so happy to know she finally had a granddaughter.

“After this pregnancy (Callie is) just the final piece of the puzzle.”

And Ms Robb said Callie could hardly wait to meet her new family, forcing her way into the world and surprising the midwife and her mum with how quickly she was delivered.

Callie beat out some of the state’s other cute bubs for the top honour.

Bundles of joy Reggie Tilley and Luca Sabapathy rounded out the top three.
