Flagstaff Hill retirement village plan in swing
PLANS for the first stage of a $40 million retirement village with an integrated golf course in Flagstaff Hill have been lodged with Onkaparinga Council.
PLANS for the first stage of a $40 million retirement village with an integrated golf course in Flagstaff Hill have been lodged with Onkaparinga Council.
Living Choice Australia last month applied to the council to build 42 villas on land formerly part of Flagstaff Hill Golf Club.
Community consultation is expected to start this week.
Living Choice Australia general manager Jason Sack hoped plans would be approved by Christmas, so building could start by the middle of 2019. He said that if approved, plans would be lodged for the development’s second stage, which includes 108 apartments and renovations to the golf clubhouse.
Mr Sack hoped that application would be lodged in late December or early next year.
“That will be a significant community asset … the clubhouse will be open to the public as well,” Mr Sack said.
The golf club agreed last year to sell part of its land along Memford Way to Living Choice to clear existing debt.
