Adelaide man Garry Roy Springall pleads guilty to sexual relationships with underage girls

A 69-year-old southern suburbs man has faced court charged with having unlawful sexual relationships with three underage girls.

A 69-year-old Reynella man has pleaded guilty to maintaining unlawful sexual relationships with three underage girls.

Garry Roy Springall faced the Christies Beach Court on Monday charged with maintaining the relationships over a number of years.

The court heard the relationship with the first victim was between January 2014 and May 2019.

The second victim between January 2017 and September 2020 and the third victim between January 2018 and September 2020.

Court documents allege Springall engaged in “two or more unlawful sexual acts” with each victim including inappropriately touching them and “causing” them to touch him.

“At Reynella, Reynella East and other places in the said state (Springall) maintained an unlawful sexual relationship with (the victim) a person under the age of 17 years,” the documents said.

Springall will be sentenced in the District Court in February.

Magistrate Teresa Anderson ordered Springall’s bail conditions – including no contact orders with children – continue until then.
