An Aberfoyle Park man has faced court charged with sexually assaulting a young girl under the age of 14.
Stephen Prey, 63, is also charged with gross indecency and three counts of aggravated indecent assault.
Court documents allege all of the offences occurred at Aberfoyle Park between December 2019 and November this year.
The documents further allege that Mr Prey exposed himself to the victim, touched her inappropriately and “caused her” to touch herself.
“It is further alleged that the circumstances of aggravation are that the victim is a child under the age of 14 years,” the documents read.
Magistrate Rodney Oates ordered Mr Prey – who appeared via video link in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court – be bailed under strict home detention conditions.
“They’re serious charges and I accept that, terrible allegations,” Mr Oates said.
“The defendant is not to approach or contact or interact directly or indirectly with any person under the age of 18 years.”
Mr Prey will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court in March.
