A trial allowing electric scooters on the coastal path between Outer Harbor and West Beach restarts today.
Under the six-month trial, earlier abandoned due to COVID-19, Neuron Mobility and Beam will each deploy up to 250 e-scooters.
They will have a speed limit of 15km/h, except in designated parking areas and go-slow zones, where it will be 10km/h.
They will be allowed on the coastal path and nearby streets, with GPS and geofencing enforcing the no-ride and no-parking areas.
