Police have stopped eight people over the last week, all testing positive to driving on drugs
Eight drivers – including a man with a four-year-old in the car – have tested positive to drugs on roads in the Lower Eyre Peninsula in the past week.

Methamphetamines and cannabis are among the drugs found in the systems of eight people caught drug driving across the Lower Eyre Peninsula.
Eyre and Western police stopped four women and four men from August 12 to 16 who tested positive for illegal drugs.
Wednesday, August 12
Police stopped a 28-year-old Port Lincoln woman at about 9.50am driving a white Ford on Lincoln Highway, Port Lincoln for driver testing.
The driver tested positive to methamphetamine.
Just after midday on the same day, police stopped a red Mitsubishi sedan on North Terrace at Tumby Bay for driver testing.
The driver, a 37-year-old woman from Lipson, tested positive to cannabis.
Thursday, August 13
A 32-year-old Port Lincoln woman driving a black Hyundai sedan on Edinburgh Street at Port Lincoln was stopped by police at 2pm.
The driver tested positive to methamphetamine.
Just after 8.30pm on the same day, police detected a Mitsubishi utility travelling at 126km/h in a 110km/h zone on the Lincoln Highway at Cowell.
The driver, a 36-year-old Dover Gardens man, was issued a speeding fine and also tested positive to methamphetamine and cannabis.
Friday, 14 August
Police stopped a 47-year-old Port Lincoln man at 2.45pm driving a silver Ford sedan on Mortlock Terrace, Port Lincoln for a driver test.
The man tested positive to methamphetamine.
Just after 7.30pm on the same day, Police were undertaking static driver testing duties on London Street at Port Lincoln when a silver Holden station wagon entered the site.
The driver, a 35-year-old Port Lincoln man, tested positive to methamphetamine.
The man had three passengers in the vehicle at the time of the offence, including a four-year-old.
Saturday August 15
About 5.30pm police attended the scene of a crash on Liverpool Street at Port Lincoln.
After an investigation police located the driver and he tested positive to methamphetamine and cannabis.
A 49-year-old Port Lincoln man and was issued with a 24-hour driver direction notice.
Sunday, August 16
Police stopped a gold Ford sedan on Oxford Terrace, Port Lincoln for driver testing at just after 8pm.
The driver, a 60-year-old Port Lincoln woman, tested positive to methamphetamine and cannabis.

All drivers were issued with a 24-hour driver direction notice and at the conclusion of forensic analysis of the sample they provided to police, they may be charged with drug driving and be summonsed to appear in court.
