Police seek help following break-in at Woodville North

A house break-in at Woodville North and a car crash at Kilburn all happened in the western suburbs in the past 24 hours.

Break-in

Western District police are seeking information from the public following a break-in at a Woodville North home last night.

A CCTV image shows a man using the victim’s credit card at a service station at Rosewater about 12.30am on Friday September 18.

About 11.45pm on Thursday September 17, a man entered a home on Stone Street after forcing open a window. The victim was woken when the suspect entered her bedroom. He left on foot and stole two laptops, an iPhone, a set of keys, a wallet and a jewellery box.

Western District patrols arrived on scene and quickly set up cordons but were unable to locate the offender. The jewellery box was found on nearby Edgecombe Street.

The suspect is described as being 170cm tall and about 80kg. He was wearing all black clothing and a balaclava.

Police are appealing to the public with information on the identity of the man who used the victim’s stolen credit card in a Rosewater service station, to please contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Car crash

Police are investigating a crash in Kilburn this morning where the driver allegedly fled the scene.

About 1.20am Friday September 18, emergency services were called to the corner of Grand Junction Road and Churchill Road after a silver Ford Falcon that had been travelling west on Grand Junction Road lost control when attempting to turn left onto Churchill Road colliding with the fence of a business.

When emergency services arrived at the scene no occupants were located with the car. Police searched the area and located two men nearby, a 44-year-old and 34-year-old, who claimed to have been passengers in the vehicle.

The driver of the car was not located at this time and the investigation is ongoing. The car was towed from the scene.

Drug bust

Two people were arrested after police allegedly located a butane hash oil laboratory at Glenelg North this week.

Western District Police attended a Glenelg North address with a general search warrant on Wednesday September 16.

It will be alleged officers located a butane hash oil, or butane honey oil, (BHO) laboratory, along with the finished product, cannabis oil. Police also seized cannabis, MDMA and prescription medication at the address.

A 26-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man, both from Glenelg North, were arrested and charged with manufacture a controlled drug.

The woman was also charged with possess prescription drug and possess controlled drug.

They were bailed to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on November 25.
