Vasilis Vergulis pleads not guilty to murdering Aleksandra Vergulis and shooting Daniela Vergulis in the Supreme Court
A father accused of murdering his wife and shooting his own daughter in a Campbelltown driveway has denied the charges in the Supreme Court.

A father accused of murdering his wife and shooting his daughter in an Adelaide driveway has pleaded not guilty.
Vasilis Vergulis appeared in the Supreme Court on Monday via video link from prison for arraignment.
A family member sat in the body of the court as Mr Vergulis entered not guilty pleas in front of Justice Chris Bleby.
“It is alleged that on 15th day of July, 2023 you murdered Aleksandra Vergulis, do you plead guilty or not guilty?,” Mr Vergulis was asked.
“Ne vinoven,” he responded in Russian, which translates to not guilty in English.
Mr Vergulis also pleaded not guilty to one count of attempted murder and one count of attempt aggravated causing harm.
Mr Vergulis was remanded in custody and will next appear in the Supreme Court for a directions hearing in June.
Mr Vergulis is accused of shooting his wife Aleksandra Vergulis, 51, and daughter Daniela Vergulis in the driveway of their Elm Rd, Campbelltown home.
The 52-year-old pleaded not guilty to a charge of murder, attempted murder and causing serious harm with intent to cause serious harm in January.
Aleksandra died as a result of the gunshot wound inflicted, with Daniela treated for serious injuries in hospital.
Aleksandra worked as an executive assistance for the University of South Australia’s education futures unit.
Daniela is a legal secretary in the civil litigation department of the Crown Solicitor’s Office.
