Two men have faced court after they allegedly shot a man in the face in Munno Para West on the weekend.

Ballistics: The science behind gunshots

Two men have been charged with attempted murder, after a shooting in Munno Para on Saturday night.

The accused men, aged 30 and 31, appeared in Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Monday.

Their identities have been suppressed.

Police prosecutor Chris Hall asked, given the nature of the major indictable charges, for the suppression order to protect the integrity of police investigations.
Magistrate Paul Bennett granted the order.

Counsel for the defendants Sophie Wilson said neither of them would be seeking bail.

On Saturday July 3 just before 7pm, a 27-year-old man presented at the Lyell McEwin Hospital with a gunshot wound to the face.
He was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital in a critical condition, but is now stable.
On Monday at about 1.45am, Northern District patrols were called to a single car crash on Fradd Road at Angle Vale where a silver Mitsubishi sedan had collided with a bollard, but the driver had left the scene.

Police recognised the sedan as being involved in the Munno Para shooting and searched the area.

They located the 31-year-old driver a short distance away.

He was searched and was allegedly found to be in possession of a firearm.

After an investigation, that man, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with attempted murder and firearms offences.

Following investigations, a second man, aged 30 from Salisbury North, was also arrested and charged with attempted murder.

The suppression order will be reassessed on August 5 at the Adelaide Magistrates Court.
Both charges of attempted murder were adjourned to November 4 at the Adelaide Magistrates Court.
