A St Agnes woman has pleaded guilty to keeping three cats in squalid conditions and leaving one with skin scalding.

Tatiana Woloszczuk was one of five people called to face animal cruelty charges in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Thursday.

Woloszczuk was charged with several counts of the ill-treatment of cats, including a feline called Kira, who suffered “skin scalding” due to a urine leakage.

She was also accused of failing to provide adequate living conditions for cats called Mischief and Dion who were kept in similar conditions.

Woloszczuk’s lawyer said he would seek a psychological report.

Robert Dibben, 30, and Shyanne Ellis-Chancellor, 21, both of Elizabeth North, appeared in court briefly over allegations they mistreated a female black and a tan Staffordshire terrier cross dog called Paige last year.

The dog was allegedly found in an emaciated condition.

Dibben and Ellis-Chancellor are also accused of ill-treating a female tan and white Staffordshire terrier cross called Sally by failing to provide appropriate and adequate food. She was found in an “underweight condition”.

Clive and Kerry Faggotter, of Middle Beach, failed to appear on several animal cruelty charges they faced involving three snakes, a bearded dragon and a rat.

The RSPCA alleges they ill-treated a Moriela jungle jag python at Para Hills West by failing care for a neurological condition that stopped the animal moving and feeding normally. It also suffered a respiratory disease.

It was found with snake mites and faeces on the margins of the eye, according to court documents.

They also allegedly ill-treated a Moriela jungle python and an albino carpet python, as well as a rat and an inland bearded dragon that both had to be put down.

Dibben, Ellis-Chancellor, Woloszczuk and Clive and Kerry Faggotter will all face court again in February.
