A man has faced court accused of the “indecent filming” of the “bottoms and crotches” of children playing in the street and their front yards this year.
Richard William Perrey, 42, appeared by video link in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Friday accused of filming the children in “various locations” between “about January and August”, according to a charge sheet.
Perrey allegedly filmed the children without their knowledge, it read.
He is also accused of possessing child abuse material in the form of data held in a computer or contained in a data storage device, an Oppo mobile phone, on August 13, 2020.
He is also accused of accessing material using a carriage service which contained child abuse material between September 21 last year and August 13 this year.
The charge sheet showed he allegedly used the cloud storage device, Telegram, to access child abuse material.
His application for bail was withdrawn on Friday.
Perrey identified himself to Magistrate Derek Sprod before the hearing was closed.
He will face the Adelaide Magistrates Court on December 2 at midday.
