SA Police are investigating the distribution of neo-Nazi propaganda in Adelaide’s north east after reports of flyers being dropped in letter boxes.

A spokesperson for SA Police said it was “investigating the distribution of flyers in Adelaide by groups who allegedly espouse right wing ideologies’’.

“SAPOL respects the right of individuals to have different beliefs in a democratic country, however inciting people to commit violence on others is not acceptable,” the spokesperson said.

“SAPOL thoroughly investigates any report of individuals or groups who through their ideology or beliefs seek to incite violence within the community and those suspected to be responsible for such activity are closely monitored.’’

7NEWS reported the flyers had been distributed in Golden Grove and carried the words ‘White Men Fight Back’’.

The flyer also carried the name of Victorian far-right extremist Jacob Hersant, who was the first person convicted of performing a Nazi salute in public.

Last year, police investigated a photoshopped image of eight men performing a Nazi salute at an Adelaide Hills pub.

The image was doctored and posted to coincide with Hitler’s 134th birthday on April 20.

The men were purportedly members of a notorious group known as the European Australia Movement.
