Man suffers serious head injury as car hits pedestrian on Waterloo Corner Road at Salisbury

A 29-year-old man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a car and pedestrian accident in Adelaide’s north.

A 29-year-old man has suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital after emergency services were at the scene of a serious crash at Salisbury on Wednesday.

Just before 3pm, a car collided with a pedestrian on Waterloo Corner Road.

The injured man was taken to hospital where he received treatment and westbound traffic was closed for a few hours, but has since reopened.

SA Ambulance service told The Advertiser crews attending to a male at the scene with head injuries.

West-bound traffic on Waterloo Corner Road was diverted down Winzor Street. East-bound traffic was not affected.

Police advised to avoid the area and take an alternative route.
