A Riverland woman has pleaded guilty to a major crime spree stretching from Adelaide’s inner north to the state’s far east over 26 days.
Khe Sanh Shawna Cox, 29, of Kingston On Murray, appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court by video link on Monday and pleaded guilty to 18 individual counts.
They include serious criminal trespass, unlawfully on premises, driving or using a motor vehicle without consent, property damage and dishonestly taking without consent.
Some of the stolen property included two laptop computers, an iPhone and a camera.
She also pleaded guilty to an aggravated count of driving dangerously to escape a police pursuit at Kingston On Murray, driving at a dangerous speed on the Sturt Highway and making off without a payment at Waikerie.
A further charge involved her driving “in the direction” of a man over the age of 60 on January 21 this year at Valley View, knowing “that act was likely to cause harm”.
It took Magistrate Simon Smart more than five minutes to announce each charge and seek a plea from Cox.
The charges occurred between January 5 and 30 this year across a string of suburbs including St Agnes, Greenwith, Salisbury Heights, Ovingham, Bowden, Valley View, Kingston On Murray, Waikerie and Uleybury.
However, a further two counts – aggravated serious criminal trespass of a residence and an aggravated count of endangering life — will be heard next month.
Cox will next appear in October for a charge determination hearing.
