Jessica Eichner, Tyler Ford charged with drug trafficking
A former SANFLW grand finalist has faced court charged with drug trafficking alongside a young northern suburbs man. Here’s what police allege they did.

A northern suburbs pair – one of them a former SANFLW player – have faced court after being charged with drug trafficking.
Jessica May Eicher, the 32-year old former North Adelaide Rooster, and Tyler Michael Ford, 25, made no pleas in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
Ms Eichner played in the Roosters’ 2019 Grand Final loss to South Adelaide.
A police prosecutor told Magistrate Mark Semmens they would need six months to provide a preliminary briefing of the alleged facts to the courts.
The court heard that period of time would be used by police to collect forensic evidence against Ms Eichner and Mr Ford.
According to court documents Ms Eichner, of Salisbury East, and Mr Ford, of Hillbank, are alleged to have trafficked the drugs from the northern suburbs.
The documents show the charges related to alleged trafficking from October 17 this year at Salisbury East.
Ms Eichner and Mr Ford are both charged with major indictable two counts of trafficking which, if guilty, can carry with it a term of imprisonment.
Mr Ford was, according to the documents, also facing a charge of possessing a prohibited weapon.
Jovanka Ivanic, for Ms Eichner, and David Hall, for Mr Ford, told the court six months was extreme and asked for a shorter period.
“(The suggested date) is getting further and further out,” Mr Hall said.
“Six months is very long,” Ms Ivanic said.
Mr Semmens agreed, ordering Ms Eichner and Mr Ford, who will continue to be on bail, to next face the Adelaide Magistrates Court in March instead.
