Descendants bikie Troy Nissen applies to court to be allowed a Gold Coast holiday

A Descendants bikie allegedly involved in a caryard ambush has been given special permission for a Gold Coast holiday.

A Descendants bikie who police allege was involved in the violent ambush of a caryard earlier this year has been given permission to take a summer holiday on the Gold Coast.

Troy Robert Nissen, 41, applied to Adelaide Magistrates Court on Friday to vary his bail to allow for interstate travel.

All bail agreements contain a condition that people remain in the state.

A person on bail has to apply to the court for special permission to leave South Australia.

Nissen, of Burton, did not attend court.

He is charged with being present with two or more participants of a criminal organisation and an aggravated count of affray.

Police allege he was involved in a fight with 10 other Descendants bikies at a Blair Athol caryard in June.

The bikies allegedly attacked two victims over the sale of a car via Facebook Marketplace.

Lawyer Emily Cousins told the court Nissen wanted to take a family holiday on the Gold Coast from December 26 until January 3.

She said he would be going with his young children – one of whom would celebrate her birthday while on holiday – and would not breach any of his bail conditions.

Ms Cousins said Nissen was put on home detention bail after his arrest in June but that was changed to normal bail in August.

Police did not oppose the variation of his bail to go to the Gold Coast.

Nissen will have to report to Elizabeth Police Station the day after his return.
