Supermarket shelves have been stripped bare of toilet paper as South Australians react to the growing Parafield COVID-19 cluster.
As panic buying returned across the state earlier this week Coles implemented a two-packet limit and other supermarket chains called for calm.
But Kimberly-Clark managing director Australia and New Zealand Doug Cunningham said there was no need to stockpile toilet paper.
Kimberly-Clark managing director Australia and New ZealandMr Cunningham said the mill was prepared to meet the renewed demand.
“South Australians have no need to be concerned,” Mr Cunningham said.
“There’s plenty of toilet paper to go around, and the retailers are restocking shelves as quickly as possible.
“Kimberly-Clark and our dedicated team at the Millicent mill continue to work hard to ensure supply across the country.
“This year has shown how quickly Kimberly-Clark can respond to a spike in demand if required – we’ve been nimble and changed our production schedules to better service the increase in demand.”
The number of coronavirus cases in the Parafield cluster rose to 20 on Tuesday with Premier Steven Marshall saying there had been a “small rise” in COVID-19 cases overnight on Wednesday morning.
