After an expletive-ridden Facebook rant hit the news, a federal election candidate in regional South Australia has taken to social media again, defending her claims there is an illegal market for aborted foetuses.
Maddy Fry, who is contesting the seat of Barker as an independent, took to Facebook on Thursday in response to The Advertiser’s coverage of her extraordinary tirade.
Ms Fry told her supporters her election bid was “not about being elected” but rather a platform to “raise awareness”.
“The thing is, most people when asked what they’re looking for in a candidate, they say someone who’s willing to speak up in parliament, who isn’t scared to go against the grain, someone who won’t toe a party line,” she said.
“I think my video on (on Wednesday) proved I tick all those boxes.”
In that video, Ms Fry made a number of startling allegations.
“I want us to stop killing babies,” she said.
“I want us to stop aborting babies at full term and illegally on a black market worldwide, selling their body parts.”
She makes claims about a secret suppression order on “28 high-profile pedophiles”.
“I hate to say it but if don’t stand up now and bring these arseholes down and expose them for every cruel, inhumane, unethical and bastard thing they are doing, it could be your child that gets raped next,” she shouts, her voice rising.
“It could be your grandmother that gets killed next. It could be your house that gets taken away or your bank account that gets frozen.”
Ms Fry slammed the major parties and “vowed to fight until the day she dies to protect the freedoms of Australians”, even the ones who call her “crazy”.
“Liberal and Labor, Nationals and Greens don't give a flying f*** about you,” Ms Fry said.
“I don't care how many people I piss off anymore. I care about you – now start caring about yourself.”
Ms Fry said she realised some would dismiss her as “crazy” and would probably lose votes as a result.
“The day is going to come when you have to realise the truth,” she said.
“Liberal and Labor are part of a new world agenda – they are globalist arseholes who don’t give a flying f*** about you and you are nothing but the scum of the earth to them.”
Early non-surgical abortion up to 63 days has been available in Australia since 2012.
South Australia passed laws to decriminalise abortion 15 months ago.
Under the new laws, abortions can only be performed after 23 weeks with the approval of two doctors and must meet one of four criteria.
Ms Fry believes the government will one day monitor every purchase made and be able to dictate whether you can grow vegetables in your own backyard.
Commenters on Ms Fry’s Facebook page have responded to her message.
“Well said Maddy, speaking the truth,” one user wrote.
“Brilliant Maddy – telling the truth is the only way as hard as it may be,” another commented.
