At 8am today, expect a dry day with a dew point of 8.2. The temperature will feel more like a cool 7.7 with a relative humidity of 98 per cent.

The highest expected temperature today is 18, which is 5 degrees lower than yesterday's max.

Today's maximum is the highest the mercury will climb over the next seven days, according to the forecast.

The chance of rain today is 50 per cent.

Showers are less likely tomorrow with the Bureau of Meteorology forecasting a medium (40 per cent) chance of rain.

The UV index is predicted to be 3. There is a moderate risk of harm from sun exposure. Experts suggest covering up, using sunscreen outside and avoiding the sun around noon.

Winds will be west-northwest around 8 km/h in the morning shifting to southwest around 20 km/h in the afternoon.
