Lily West Floral Designers crowned South Australia’s best florist of 2024
Jess Manov still has time to brighten people’s days with her blooms despite running three businesses and being a single mum to two kids.

A love for brightening people’s days is what motivates businesswoman, florist and single mother Jess Manov.
The owner of popular western suburbs florist Lily West Floral Designers in Findon said the florist started out as a small shop in her family’s business MetroFresh in 2014.
Due to high demand, the company decided it was time to create a separate store solely dedicated to selling flowers.
“We wanted it to have a florist feel,” Ms Manov. “We kept progressing and expanding.”
Lily West Floral now delivers all over Adelaide and has expanded to cover events.
“We’ve got an amazing team (of 10) … I’m very lucky to have an amazing team behind me,” Ms Manov said.
Ms Manov said the company’s main objective was seeing the joy flowers bring to people.
“Something so simple can change somebody’s day,” she said.
“My favourite part is seeing the joy it brings other people.”
The single mother-of-two said juggling three businesses – MetroFresh, Lily West Floral Designers and Thirty Five Stirling – can be challenging but she wouldn’t change it for the world.
“I love it (being a business owner) that much, they’re my babies too,” she said.
“I have a lot of family support,” she said.
The proud mother said she loves being able to show her children that a single mother can achieve a lot.
“They get to see a mum working hard.”
Ms Manov said she was “over the moon” to hear her business had been crowned South Australia’s best florist of 2024. “I’m blown away,” she said.
