A man allegedly found in possession of $190,000 and one kilogram of meth has been released on home detention bail.

Kyle James Harris appeared in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Tuesday, from custody by video link, after he was arrested last month.

Mr Harris was granted home detention bail, with electronic monitoring, despite police prosecutors opposing him being released on any kind of bail.

Mr Harris, 36, of Two Wells, was arrested on July 18 after he was allegedly found in possession of approximately 1kg of methamphetamine and copious amounts of cash at a routine traffic stop at Bolivar.

Mr Harris was charged with trafficking a commercial quantity of a controlled drug, money laundering and driving disqualified.

Police allege that checks carried out by police at the time uncovered that Mr Harris was also disqualified from driving.

At the time, police searched two premises where they allegedly found cash, drugs and paraphernalia.

Mr Harris will next appear at the Elizabeth Magistrates Court to face the minor offences, before facing the Adelaide Magistrates Court in March next year for the drug charges.
