Hard work and commitment will always prevail according to the owner of Port Lincoln’s best pizza shop.

Michael Haritos has had over three decades of experience in the hospitality industry, working in both pizza bars and other businesses before setting up Harry’s Pizza and Yiros on the Port Lincoln foreshore.

“I started in 1982 in a pizza bar and was there for quite a few years before venturing out to a few other business,” Mr Haritos said.

No stranger to the pressures of a fast paced foodery, the pizza wizard still enjoys customer satisfaction now more than ever.

“We have a good support of customers here and a lot of them have been coming back for years, it’s been really good,” he said.

“But none of this would be able to happen without my staff and the team work, they’ve pulled through really well with all the pressure we get put under.

“A lot of this stuff is trial and error, but thing I have always learnt is never worry about what anyone else is doing, what you put in is what you get out of it.”

While the shop does an array of different pizzas to suit everyone’s tastebuds, Mr Haritos sights their yiros pizza as a go to.

“That one just goes off and has been very popular, but each person has their own taste and variation.”
