Pregnant woman in hospital after ‘freak accident’ at Sidewood Estate
A pregnant woman has been taken to hospital after a freak wind gust at an Adelaide Hills winery.

A pregnant woman has been rushed to hospital after she was hit by a tarpaulin pole at a winery event in Hahndorf.
The woman in her 40s was attending the Winter Reds Pinot x Pork event at Sidewood Estate when a gust of wind dislodged the structure.
She was treated for head lacerations and was taken to Mt Barker District Hospital for further assessment.
Witness Ebony Betar-Young, 25 said a man was frantically trying to move the tent.
“The staff were stressed, running around and getting first aid boxes,” she said.
“It was concerning and knowing that she was pregnant made it even worse.”
Another witness Jane Long, 60 said the incident was a freak accident.
“Everyone was shocked, but the woman seemed okay, she left in the ambulance in a stable condition.”
“No one else was injured.”
