A trio, including a face-tattooed man, held a man against his will, before viciously bashing and robbing him, court documents allege.
Daniel Wayne Bland, 29, Brad Andrew Roberts, 30, and Chloe Watkins, 25, appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Thursday, charged with the alleged terrifying joint enterprise.
Court documents sighted by The Advertiser allege the trio unlawfully imprisoned Jason Victor Black and detained him against his will between December 31 and January 3 at Elizabeth Grove.
It is also alleged the group caused harm to Mr Black, intending to cause him harm, while using or threatening to use a weapon during the offence.
The documents allege the trio then stole various items from Mr Black, including a Samsung Galaxy mobile phone, a bank card, a Pokies jackpot card and car keys.
Mr Bland and Ms Watkins are also charged with using Mr Black’s motor vehicle without his consent at Sandy Creek on January 2.
On Thursday, a prosecutor asked the court for a 12-week adjournment to obtain DNA results from the alleged crime scene.
Counsel for Mr Bland, of Adelaide, and Mr Roberts, of Moorook, said they were opposed to the lengthy adjournment as both their clients were in custody.
Magistrate Simon Smart said he would grant an eight week adjournment until October, where the trio will be expected to enter pleas to the charges.
He told Ms Watkins, of Elizabeth Grove, who appeared unrepresented and is on bail, to seek legal advice before the next hearing.
“These are serious charges,” Mr Smart said.
