Sephora cancels all appointments amid coronavirus concerns

Beauty giant Sephora has cancelled all its makeup appointments in Rundle Mall – and nationwide – indefinitely due to fears about the spread of coronavirus.
A sign at the shop said hygiene and safety is paramount for its customers and staff, so it made the decision to cancel all bookings.
A spokeswoman for the company said the move would ensure health and wellbeing of customers.
“As a precautionary measure, Sephora have temporarily suspended all custom makeover services and disabled online bookings until further notice,” she said.
Makeup brushes cannot be used and customers can ask for tester products to be sanitised.
The company is yet to answer questions about whether prepaid appointments would be reimbursed.
It is understood to be the only makeup service that has cancelled appointments in Rundle Mall.
Mecca, Inglot and other makeup counters in Myer and David Jones are all taking bookings.
Sephora opened in Rundle Mall in October 2019, with about 1000 people braving the cold and queuing for hours to get a glimpse in the shop.
Coronavirus originated in the Hubei province in China.
Eleven South Australians are currently awaiting test results for the disease.
Two test results returned positive on Saturday, February 1, but the patients have since been released from the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
Last week, Prime Minister Scott Morrison confirmed Australia would extend its travel ban for visitors from China by one week.
