Spreading the love is at the heart of an Adelaide City Council move to welcome people back into the CBD.
The council today mowed a large heart into the lawn in Victoria Square, as part of its plan to help the city recover from COVID-19.
“Being able to spend more time in our beautiful parklands has been a silver lining of COVID-19,” Lord Mayor Ms Verschoor said.
“So we loved the idea of sending a big green hug to our community as we start to welcome more people back into the city.”
As part of the recovery process, the council wants people to share their ideas to help the city and North Adelaide “reimagine and recover” from the social and economic impacts of COVID-19.

“Now is the time for us to come together, to get creative and reimagine Adelaide, to reignite what’s unique about our city’s precincts, main streets and parklands.”
