Worldwide beauty giant Sephora will open its first Adelaide store next month.
After months of staying tight-lipped about the opening date for its $1.6 million Rundle Mall store, the company has confirmed it will be in October.
Sephora Australia and New Zealand country general manager Beth Glancey said the brand had been “inundated” with requests from South Australians for a store.
“We have been eagerly waiting for the perfect location on Rundle Mall for some time now,” Ms Glancey said.
“We are bringing a whole new concept to Adelaide, it’s nothing you would have seen in any other Sephora in Australia.
“There will be a big focus on Sephora services with three beauty studios, a Benefit Brow Bar and the first dedicated skincare studio in the country.”
The company said the opening date for the store would soon be announced.
In July, the company was given approval to refurbish the two-storey former Just Jeans shop, including altering the shopfront and canopy and installing new signage.
It will bring brands including Fenty Beauty by Rihanna, Tarte, Huda Beauty, Sephora Collection, Fresh and Marc Jacobs Beauty to its shelves.
Rundle Mall Management Authority general manager Johanna Williams said she was “delighted” to see Sephora open in the mall.

“Sephora is a trailblazer in the international beauty world, known not only for its product range but for unique in-store experiences that are sure to be a hit with South Australian beauty fans,” she said.
