From top cops to tireless campaigners for a better go these 21 women are our state’s foremost Ceiling Smashers in the legal, law enforcement and social justice fields.

It all started when earlier this year — to mark the 125 anniversary of women’s suffrage in SA — we showcased 125 amazing women who helped shape our great state.

But we knew there were many, many more women out there worthy of recognition and instrumental in making a difference.

We asked you, our readers, to highlight amazing South Australian women who have risen to the upper echelons of their chosen fields, made a difference in others’ lives or done South Australia proud.
