We’ve compiled a list of some of the best dog-friendly places in Adelaide.

These are places where you can buy a tasty treat or even a yiros or a slice of pizza for your paw-fect pal.

As more and more people are wanting to include their dogs in their daily adventures, the market for spaces offering a canine welcome is booming.

Eateries and cafes are now going out of their way to make their venues as dog-friendly as possible with specialised menus and shady spots complete with water bowls, hooks for leashes and grass mats.

As part of its recent revamp, the Marion Hotel created a fetching outdoor space where dogs can enjoy a treat while their owners stop for brunch.

“With the growing popularity of brunch enthusiasts these days and many people out and about with their dogs in the mornings, we feel doggie brunches tick all the right boxes,” Hurley Hotel Group marketing manager Elly Deegan said.

Sonny’s Pizza Bar in Klemzig has tables outside where pooches can enjoy some tasty morsels.

Sonny’s owner Rob Caprile – who made a special meatlovers’ pizza for a dog’s birthday party recently – said they were more than welcome at his shop.

“Most dogs get fawned on and fed pizza ham while their owners eat pizza,” Mr Caprile said.

For those wanting a sweet treat, Royal Copenhagen sells sugar-free ice cream made of frozen natural yoghurt, peanut butter, honey, banana and a dog-bone biscuit on top at its Semaphore, Henley Beach and Brighton stores.

Up at Aldgate, Fred Eatery gives out free dog biscuits and sells a doggie latte made with lactose-free milk.

And for the choosy dog, Metro Mutt in Queenstown has a lolly bar, where dishlickers can select their own treats, and the Woofery dog bakery in Richmond has an array of gourmet biscuits, doughnuts and even custom-made birthday cakes.
