It was also came second in the SA-wide vote, just behind Bleasdale at Langhorne Creek.
“We place great importance on providing the highest levels of genuine customer service, so this is a lovely recognition of our commitment,” Rockford Wines manager David Kalleske said.
“Rockford is a family-owned winery committed to maintaining the best of the traditional Australian wine trade and sharing this with our customers.
“Our cellar door opened in 1984, and we sell our wines direct to private customers and long-term Rockford Members, through tasting and sales at the winery and with mail order.”
In the Clare Valley, Skillogalee came out on top, and finished just behind Rockford in third spot across SA.
“We’re very humbled and flattered,” Skillogalee director Dave Palmer said.
“It shows how important the local community are, we know being open seven days a week and providing a really good experience is important.
“We provide good wines, good food, it’s a picturesque part of the Clare Valley.
“We’re a boutique winery, we grow most of what we use in our wines immediately around the winery and the cellar door.”
